If you follow our family blog, you'll notice that I'm a little behind (14 & 15 months). The reason is because we started a business here in our home and it has taken off right before our eyes! Time I once spent snapping hundreds of pictures is gone, so now I snap them when I can and try to keep a mental note in hopes to record it some day (like today).
What has happened in months 14 and 15? Well, a lot has happened, of course!
Height: 31.25 inches (at 12 months she was 30.25 inches)
Weight: 27.6 pounds (at 12 months she was 26 pounds)
Throughout the past few months she has learned to identify her body parts (currently she is good at finding her head and nose, we're working on more). She can sign "thank you" and "milk" and we are now working on "more" and "please." We have one polite little girl, which makes mommy and daddy so happy!
Gretchen's favorite shows right now are Super Why, the Back Yardigans, Sesame Street and Yo Gabba Gabba (still a favorite)!
She can place puzzle pieces in the right spots (we have a shape puzzle that she can put the circle, square and rectangle in), she can "read" books with mom and dad, play and stack blocks very high, and loves to help us clip her into her car seat and her high chair.
Every time Gretchen does something that she is proud of, she'll clap and we clap with her. She is always so proud and confident - it's very cute.
Gretchen has been off of the baby bottle for a week now and drinks from a sippy cup like a big girl. She drinks water from a straw cup, as well as a spouted cup. She is growing up so fast!
