Being a stay at home mom is challenging, but also rewarding. Like any "job" there is always some downtime, but it's hard to come by. We're currently going through a fussy stage, and it has lasted nearly a month. It's manageable, but we stay home often, because she all of a sudden dislikes the car seat, her stroller, and anything else that we used to do. It's sort of depressing, but, like anything else, we'll get through this.
A couple of days ago I felt inspired to make Gretchen a Halloween costume. In my mind it was going to be awesome and "so easy" like the tutorials online stated. Yeah, it wasn't so much easy, because I had to juggle the dog (rolling around in the material) and the baby (rolling around and eating the material).
I managed to make my first ever tutu made of yellow and black tulle, as well as a large flowered headband. It ended up turning into a dress up outfit, and I am excited, because I can make her multiple tutus when she's older (of course little girls love to dress up).
Here are a few photos from the day I dressed her up. I think she looks beautiful, but of course I'm a little bias.
