New Food

It's impossible to remember everything that Gretchen does within a month's time, so I'm writing a quick post regarding the new food that Gretchen is currently eating (and loving):

  • Kiwi - We tried this today and she really enjoyed it.
  • Mango - This was a fruit we tried earlier in the week and she devoured this, as well.
  • Blue Berries - We haven't tried them by themselves, but she enjoys them in pancakes and waffles.
  • Waffles - We haven't made them for her, but we bought Earth's Best (an organic brand) miniature waffles and she likes them.
  • Cereal Bars - They make cereal bars specifically for babies and she eats them a few times a week.
  • Peas - We hadn't tried peas, surprisingly, until this week, but she loves them.
  • Veggie Nuggets - They look like chicken nuggets, but they are lightly breaded with a soft puree of vegetables inside (corn, beans, etc. - made specifically for babies). She thought these were okay, but they weren't her favorite.
  • Cheerios - She's graduated from Puffs to Cheerios, which makes me happy as Cheerios are less expensive and you get more for your $$.
  • Goldfish Crackers - I bought Goldfish Crackers (the baby ones that are smaller) and she took right to them.
  • Cookies (baby cookies, of course) - Since she's teething something fierce, we've given her a lot of crunchier foods that she can snack on that also feel good on her teeth. She loves to chew and bite down, so these seem to do the trick.
I know this is a random post, but I had to write it all down before I forgot. to end, I'll share a random picture of Gretchen before I make her 9 month post on the 11th (time is flying).

Here she is eating peas and Cheerios for dinner. She had it all over her face and was smiling the entire time.
