Gretchen started talking quite often. She says, "da da," "hi," and when she's extremely mad she says, "ma ma." She also laughs a lot when you make a funny face, noise, or tickle her. She also laughs often when Jack (our dog) is around. She is fascinated with him (and I think the feeling is mutual).
She is eating solid foods, along with her formula. We switched her from Similac to Parent's Choice to save a substantial amount each month and it hasn't caused any reactions. She took to the new formula quite well, which was a relief.
She pulls herself up into a standing position often, and she can also easily put herself into a sitting position from a crawling position. She loves to stand, take mini steps when she is holding onto something (like the couch), and much more. We lowered her crib, because we found that she was standing up in it and trying to climb over it (talk about having a heart attack).
Gretchen had her first ear infection and yeast infection this month. We had no clue about either, and both went away quickly with antibiotics and cream.
She also had her first tooth pop through, which is quite exciting! Teething has been challenging, but she's doing great! She has two more teeth (that we know of) trying to come through, so she will have a cute little toothy grin soon. I'll take a picture (if she lets me - for now we are not allowed to go near her teeth, haha).
